VA Cooperative Studies Program (CSP)
Integrated Veteran Epidemiologic Study Data Resource (INVESTD-R)
INVESTD-R provides a means for qualified researchers to access epidemiologic research data, biospecimens, and participant contact information from Veterans for use in secondary data analysis or new data collection. All resources come from experimental, observational, and clinical trial studies conducted by VA researchers.
INVESTD-R offers three informational and research resource sharing tools for VA and non-VA researchers.
Information Clearinghouse: Browse a curated list of VA and non-VA funded epidemiology studies involving Veterans
These selected epidemiology studies focus on different United States Veteran populations. Key characteristics are documented for each study so researchers can quickly scan and identify studies of interest.
Access VA CSP research resources (data, biospecimens, participant contact information)
Researchers can request access to curated CSP research resources using a standardized process. This curated list of CSP studies is part of the larger Information Clearinghouse.
ORD ReSearcH DAta and Biospecimen REpository (SHARE)
A VA-wide research data repository, biospecimen repository, and participant registry that acquires, preserves, and responsibly shares data from VA Office of Research and Development (ORD) studies. For information about requesting access to resources or to share VA research resources, contact INVESTDR@va.gov.
Acknowledgement
We thank the Veterans and non-Veterans who have participated in the scientific research studies included in INVESTD-R. This data and specimen sharing effort wouldn't be possible without their contributions.
