History
James A. Hagans, MD, PhD established the CSP Clinical Research Pharmacy Coordinating Center (CRPCC) in 1972 in Washington, D.C., to support the clinical trials conducted by the Cooperative Studies Program. Starting with only a staff of four people, the CRPCC grew. It moved five years later in October 1977 to the Albuquerque VA Medical Center. Since that time, the CRPCC has continuously increased its capability, capacity, and productivity and has gained an international reputation in the management and operation of the pharmaceutical and regulatory aspects of multi-center clinical trials.
